Camdata is a Cambridge-based supplier of terminals for traffic light controllers, in addition to terminals and computers for many other applications.
All Camdata terminal handsets connect to a variety of traffic light controllers from:
- Siemens (formerly also GEC)
- Peek (formerly also Ferranti)
- Telent (formerly Traffic Signals/Microsense)
The connection is traditionally via RS232, but there is a move towards 802.11 wireless networking and Bluetooth. We have terminals for all these options.
The standard TechTerm TT1NEL is available with a black or a yellow protective boot. The Microscribe is fully water-proof to IP65 and withstands drops onto concrete.
Both come with the appropriate cable to a D-type connector to plug into the traffic light controller. Power is either derived from the controller or an internal battery for the wireless versions. A comprehensive set up menu allows selection of the Baud rate and word format.
